Faye Dunningham was born, raised and still currently resides in New England.� Ms. Dunningham devotes her life to helping dogs and their humans create a bond and hold a relationship that allows a person to enjoy the true benefits of having a canine family member.

As a dog owner for your 50+ years, I found this book to be enlightening, entertaining, an sometimes counter intuitive... but highly successful, when applied to training a new pup, or 're-training an older dog. Well worth the time it takes to read.

I found this book to be very helpful in my endeavors towards socializing my puppy, Sophie. The author delivers what she claims in a positive and reassuring manner. Her instructions are easy to understand and use for all members of my household. The book is a pleasure to read as well as having detailed and specified information that really works!
Sophie is quickly learning to understand her world and interact in it in the way we want her to!

I like that the chapters are written by different authors as it allows the reader to experience many different views and not just those of the editors. Mad Money Journey: A Financial Adventure by Mehrab Irani is a superb insight on managing your money in a best possible manner, told in a quite interesting manner. The book has been published by Jaico Books under the genre Business/ Fiction. Mehrab Irani is a well know author for his earlier book 10 Commandments for Financial Freedom.

Money has a different meaning for different persons. Even in the business world different industrialists look at money management part in their own style. But in reality there is so much about money and so little known. This business adventure in fiction story form has John Pinto who is a successful doctor residing in Mumbai. Another prominent character in Mad Money Journey: A Financial Adventure by Mehrab Irani is Vijay Desai, who is a childhood friend of John Pinto and appears to help him whenever life puts him into dire straits. Both studied in the same school but had their own perception about education, learning and knowledge. On one hand Pinto had one straight mission during his school days - to get excellent marks in tests and examinations. On the other hand Desai's vision about studies was different. He was least bothered about marks. His motto was to get real life learning from education. Gradually Desai leaves his house due to a rift with his father on not getting good marks in studies.

Gradually on the basis of excellent marks and being a topper, Pinto gets admission in one of the top medical schools and comes out in bright colors after completing his medical studies and thus becomes a successful doctor, opening his own clinic. He gets married, earns money, owns his own apartment in one of the posh colonies, acquires a good car and becomes successful in his life. But gradually he finds himself as unsuccessful in his professional and personal life by mismanaging his financials and money and finally getting into a huge debt. That is where the story in Mad Money Journey: A Financial Adventure by Mehrab Irani takes a steep turn.

Pinto decides to end his life and goes for suicide. That is when, once more in his life, the two old childhood friends meet again. Pinto is brought to hospital by none other than Desai when he got collapsed on the road. And that is when a new journey of life begins for Pinto when Desai, who has become a most successful international industrialist and mentor, coach, guide to many of his peers. Desai meets Pinto in the hospital while he was undergoing treatment to recover, and gets to know the crux of pains of his life. He understands that Pinto has not been able to manage his money and thus has reached to this state of his life even after being so successful. Overall the story of Mad Money Journey: A Financial Adventure by Mehrab Irani is very interesting.

The fact of life is that the guy who always topped in school, reached to the dead end of his life and the guy for whom marks were never a priority becomes a billionaire and successful entrepreneur. On finding the real problem of Pinto, Desai sponsors a world tour for him where he would be going to different nations, meeting various people belonging to various streams of life and learning a unique lesson about money from each of them. Each of the assigned person in each country, has been selected and planned by Desai.

Overall an interesting learning about money and financials during roaming around different corners of the world and meeting various people who became learned from the lessons from life.

This is one of those books that defy categorization. Whilst it is ostensibly a book on finance, it is actually much more. There is a great deal of spiritual wisdom within the pages of this book. The author talks about money from a point of view that I have never seen in any other book on finance: that the lack of money stops people from following their real dreams and ambitions in life.

Other books on finance just talk about money as a goal in itself, whereas this book talks about how just making or having a lot of money is not enough. A holistic view of life is important. Money can be an enabler (if you have understand it and have enough), or a constraint (if you don't have enough) for what you wish to achieve in the world. By understanding the dynamics of money, you can have plenty of it in your life - as much as you wish to have. It is interesting, is it not, that people scrabble for money as if it is a scarce resource, while in reality, money is unlimited: governments just have to print more! In many cases, they don't even have to waste paper printing it, they just make up imaginary money "in the system" using fancy terms such as "injecting liquidity".

This book is not a manual, so if you're looking for a step by step course in how to grow rich, this is not the book for you. That said, any investor who has been successful over the long term will tell you this: investing is more about psychology than about "systems" and tricks. This book teaches the reader, by way of a fictitious person's journey, very valuable concepts in understanding the principles of money. Poorly written

This book is suitable for those who are semi literate. The language is insipid and there are many glaring inconsistencies. The hero (or anti hero) is always eating one delicious meal every few pages. When you read a good book you feel so good. This book feels like a B grade movie. I was surprised to discover that Ratan Tata had given his stamp of approval. The correct book to read is THE RICHEST MAN IN BABYLON. Maybe the author should also read it.

It gets the job done!

Having purchased this book as a required course textbook for my school I found that I only skimmed through it most of the year. Nevertheless, the second that I realized the IB test was around the corner, this book became one of my greatest resources. Having read it all and studied it the days leading up to the exam, I found that the subject that had brought me the most difficulty had become my strongest area in IB History. This book not only helped me with paper 3 (as it was meant to) but also paper 2. I ended up doing 2/3 of my paper 3 questions on Cold War and 1/2 of my Paper 2 questions on cold war as well. It might be boring, but it is a great tool for those of you who are doing Cold War for HOA.

Heavily biased book.

This book is a heavily biased Revisionist view of the Cold War. Although the book has value for its presentation of the Cold War from a Revisionist bias point of view, I do not recommend this book if your are looking for balanced views. If you are a Revisionist, I suppose you will find your biases confirmed. Biases run thick throughout: from photos and cartoons selected, to omissions of facts, to misrepresentation of facts, to outright 'modification' of known history. I bought this book with positive anticipation having found value in Allan Todd's book on Single Party States. I am quite disappointed in that I can only use this book as a way of demonstrating the heavy bias of one viewpoint. In that sense my students see how history can be manipulated to show one point of view.

Good not great

We bought this because we enjoyed the Owls in the Family book so much but this book has not been a favorite. Enjoyable but we will probably not read again.

What a fun read.

This was a fun and entertaining read plus it gave a nice glimpse into an era and a part of the country that many of us are not familiar with. Obviously society's ideas about the norms for dogs have changed since then (dogs no longer roam at will in most areas) but that did not detract from the story at all. As a person who has read many a dog memory book I have to rate this one up there as one I will remember in detail for a very long time. If you want to laugh, cry, and have a few adventures join Farley and Mutt.

A celebration of theater, echoes of Barrymore...

This is a witty, rakish, stylish tribute to all actors in general, and Barrymore in particular. It's a wonderful play for a local theater group (I say that from experience). If you're an aspiring playwright, this is one you'll wish you had written. Rudnick's "Notes on Production" are very informative.
Be ready for a challenge, actors: "Dying is easy. Comedy is hard."

Amusing and Flyweight Farce

Although he best known on the professional stage for JEFFREY, a wry and slightly bitter comedy on the subject of homosexuality and HIV, Paul Rudnick is best known on the non-professional stage for I HATE HAMLET, an amusing farce that tears a page from Noel Coward's legendary BLITHE SPIRIT.

A television actor whose series has just been canceled, Andrew Rally is in New York to perform the title role of Hamlet--a role he doesn't want in a play he doesn't like. A flaky real estate agent who claims to have psychic powers talks him into renting the former apartment of long-dead John Barrymore, one of the most acclaimed Hamlets of his generation; needless to say, an impromptu seance seems to vent forth the ghost of Barrymore himself, who comes to make sure that Andrew does the role, like it or not.

There is, of course, a little bit more to it than that, and the plot also concerns Andrew's eccentric (and chain smoking) agent; his determinedly virginal girl friend; and an ultra-California producer type who wants to see Andrew take the easy television and run instead of striving for 'art' in New York. Add in swordplay, Barrymore's infamous lechery, and a host of complications and the result is a charming bit of flyweight fluff that moves a long at rapid clip.

Like many plays of the genre, I HATE HAMLET tends to deal in obvious stereotypes and time-honored constructions; it is no less amusing for that, and if you know something about Shakespeare, HAMLET, and Barrymore you'll find it all the more entertaining. Recommended.
