Great and Intriguing Fantasy book. Could not put it down!!!

This was the first fantasy book I have read on my Kindle, let alone in the last twenty years of my life. The book was a great and intriguing tale of fantasy. I could not put the book down everytime I read as I was wanting more and more. The character development is superb and it is well written. When I was finished, i was left wanting more as I already want to purchase the second book if there is one in the Turik Saga. Cudos to the writer on this fine piece of literature and I promise it will draw you in even if you do not pertake in fantasy reads.

My favorite books ~ give a flowing description that you can picture it all in your head without boring you with too much detail and takes you away to the fantasy. You find yourself not being able to put it down because you want to know what is going to happen next. This book did all of those things for me and I am really looking forward to the next one!!!!!!!!!

Of special interest is a picture of the only known representation of the Temple of the Rosy Cross from an engraving in 1618. In his work entitled Psychology and Alchemy, the famous psychologist C. G. Jung reproduced the plate of Michelspacher's Cabala and made numerous other references to material contained in Codex Ros Crucis. Folio size, with full-color plates and two-color manuscript section.

A must for the serious student of hermetic arts!

Considered the definitive work in the field of hermetic arts, this wonderful large book is also very ornate, containing full-color plates and two-color manuscript section. Most notable of these images is the only known representation of the Temple of the Rosy Cross from an engraving in 1618. The book contains the English translation accompanying a facsimile of the original eighteenth century manuscript, which is of particular interest to the more serious scholars. Also useful was the commentary, which threads together fragments of history pertaining to the Rosicrucian foundations in the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries. The famous psychologist C. G. Jung, in his work entitled Psychology and Alchemy, reproduced the plate of Michelspacher's Cabala and made numerous other references to material contained in Codex Ros� Crucis.
If you are a student of the hermetic arts this book is a must for your collection. It is always nice to find a book whose content value is equally matched with its artistic quality. If you are just dabbling in the occult, this book would probably not be of much use other than as eye candy.

Excellent Rosicrucian Resource!

I bought this book based on the above review, and at first, I was doubtful after I ordered it, but when it arrived, I was very, very glad I did! This is a beautiful oversized book, with many illustrations, and much information I have never seen before. I find the whole Rosicrucian movement fascinating, and this book has information you will not find anywhere else, to my knowledge. Get this book, it is worth the price. Also check out the "Golden Game". Another beautiful book but focusing more on 17th century alchemy in general.

It is Definitely Curious and of Interest

I cannot attest to this manuscript's rarity, as it is being mass-produced.
However, I can say that it is, indeed, a very aesthetically pleasing tome. Even the cover is lovely to look at. The plates inside are of excellent quality. While you may not spend months with your nose in this book, there is knowledge to be gleaned from it. I do find it a book of value for one who is interested in the esoteric.

Easiest self help ever!

My first experience using this book for self help was when I was feeling so nauseated and wiped out during menses that I could hardly walk across the room. I lay in bed with a hot water bottle and started doing the Main Central and Supervisor/Mediator - the Trinity flows (pages 45-54). An hour or so later I got up and felt absolutely fine! I thought - this is magic! To think I could just feel better by placing my hands on different locations of my body and holding them there, that I would harmonize my body and feel better - no effort, no machines, nothing extra, just me and this little book. Truly portable! I have since used this regularly for long distance highway driving, just doing it at a rest stop to re-energize me. Also in the book are general daily sequences (page 133) I have done while doing my laundry in the laundromat - "doing these in succession is an especially good way to deal with almost all of the various stresses we regularly confront in modern life." I have to agree. There is so much useful information in the book it seems overwhelming at first, but as I have explored it little by little, it always amazes me that even when I do it when I feel good, I feel even better! And when I have been feeling awful, that it helps so much! There is even a quickie "first aid" listing in the back of the book.. I used the left hand over right hand to keep a toenail on that I had mashed into some furniture.. also I find when I really would like to feel better, I just hold my fingers. The thing that is so wonderful about this book is this is a gold mine of information about self help that you can do anywhere, at meetings, waiting for the bus, in bed, anywhere. This self help will aid anyone anywhere, whether they are sick or healthy or somewhere in between. I went on to take the five day basic class in Jin Shin Jyutsu (info on this is also in the book)yet I still refer back to this book as it is a great learning tool. There are great little stories in here too to help you remember what's what. Try it. It's the best thing you could possibly buy to enrich your health and your life (and everyone's around you too!)

The Healing is Within Your Hands

I had been bed-bound for a year, when I bought this book. It is laid out in a logical way, with clear instructions and pictures. When I needed to do a sequence I drew stick figures using red circles for right and green for left pressure points on recipe cards. It was easier to follow than the written step-by-step on a day to day basis. You can look up what to do by your symptoms OR by the type of emotional stress you've been thru - we are MIND+BODY+SPIRIT=all intertwined. Doing Jin Shin got me out of bed, and is balancing my body and mind! My last blood test was so balanced it was incredible/unbelievable. This book gives you what you need to heal/balance your body: addictions, cravings, pains, all manner of physical problems, headaches, itchy places, too hot, too cold, chronic fatigue, heart problems, lung problems, you name it, there is something you can do about it!

Amazing and easy to do

I did some of the finger holds in the book in the bookstore.

Holding a finger while squeezing with my other hand, and holding for a while, in my case until after I could feel a pulsing sensation, and then doing a different position.

I work with energy methods such as Reiki, Qigong, Quantum Touch, EFT and other practices, so I am thinking this is just another energy practice not likely to add much to what I already know.

Yet, this is a really great practice, which is easy to do, and I can really feel more energy flowing. It also seems to combine very well and boosts my Reiki self healing.

When the fingers of your hands touch various energy points in your body they act like cable jumpers sending a charge between both points and improving the energy flow and releasing blocked energy caused by emotional problems or illness, even injury. Free flowing energy acclerates the body's self healing.

According to the book there 14400 points in each finger. Can you imagine the possible health benefit of holding just one finger? Multiply that by the six positions, add the Trinity Flows and the SEL's, and you can feel for yourself quite easily how beneficial this whole system is.

This book is easy to read and follow. I recommend the Energy Medicine kit by Donna Eden, which is based on a different discipline of energy healing, which is extremely good for someone starting out. If you have not moved energy before I recommend Quantum touch by Richard Gordon.

This is definitely one of the best energy books I have read, and I highly recommend it. I am surprised this system is not better known.

I love Clone Wars! Especially the clones who are fighting the war! I loved listening to them talking and watching them fight. I usually flinch when they get hurt. When I found this book at the library I knew I had to read it. I read it that night as fast as I could, of course pausing to contemplate my answers. I confirmed that a clone's life isn't easy. I can't imagine how much harder a real soldier's life is. I have since bought the book from Amazon and have read/played it many times. (I was the team medic)

I bought this book as part my son's 6th birthday present. He is a big Star Wars The Clone Wars fan, and he loved it. In the book you get to choose the 'job' you want your character to have, and from there it is like a choose-your-own-adventure with decision making about the course of action you choose to take within the story. I enjoyed reading it to him, and he loved the interaction with the story in being able to decide what to do next.

About the Author
Forrest Carr observed his 20th year in the news business in January 2000. He joined KGUN9-TV, the ABC affiliate in Tucson, Arizona, as news director in September of 1997. During his tenure KGUN9 has made waves locally and nationally with its innovations in viewer service and community-responsive journalism. KGUN9 solicited viewer input for a statement of principles, the only television station in the United States ever to have done that, and it appointed one of only three viewer ombudsmen in the country. Carr began his career as a radio reporter but quickly switched to television, serving at various times as a copy writer, reporter, newscast producer, managing editor, and assistant news director in the Memphis, San Antonio and Tampa markets before going to Tucson as news director. Carr has contributed to numerous scholarly and trade publications, and has won or shared credit in four dozen professional awards, including a regional Emmy for investigative reporting. He is a graduate of the University of Memphis.

Dr. Suzanne Huffman is Associate Professor of Journalism and Broadcast Journalism Sequence Head At Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas. Her B.A. is from Texas Christian University. She earned her M.A. at the University of Iowa, and her Ph.D. at the University of Missouri-Columbia. Huffman has reported, anchored, and produced news at commercial television stations in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Santa Maria, California, and Tampa, Florida. She taught at three other universities before joining the TCU faculty, and her former students occupy newsroom positions at stations throughout the South and Southwest. Her research centers on the practice of broadcast journalism. It includes television station and newsroom workplace issues, such as the current proliferation of live reporting, the use of mission statements, coverage of women's sports, the history of broadcast journalism in Texas, and broadcast news writing practices and style. Her research has been presented at both regional and national symposia and has been published in numerous scholarly journals.

Dr. C. A. Tuggle began teaching on the university level in 1994 after a 16-year broadcasting career in local television news and media relations. He spent the majority of his career at WFLA-TV, the NBC affiliate in Tampa. He has held numerous newsroom positions, but spent the bulk of his career reporting and producing. He covered both news and sports, including six Super Bowls. Tuggle earned his undergraduate and masters degrees from the University of Florida in Gainesville, and his Ph.D. at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa. He is currently teaching electronic communication at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. His research has appeared in nearly a dozen scholarly journals and trade publications, and centers on television news practices and procedures. He regularly conducts writing workshops for local stations, professional and academic groups, and high school journalists. He has overseen student newscasts at three universities and helped develop more than 50 interns during his professional career.

GREAT book to have. Had a lot of good information and it was small and sturdy and takes up very little space. Totally okay that I had to buy it for class.
